04-02-2016 Public meeting about sports facilities – Christchurch Girls’ Choir

Dear Parents,

St Kevin’s Hurling Club has called a public meeting over the lack of decent sports facilities and green space in our area. The club is pressing Dublin City Council to designate a significant part of the PlayerWills-Bailey Gibson site as a green space and sports grounds area.

The public meeting is to take place next Thursday evening in Griffith College at 8 pm. As you will see from the attached flyer, there will be several official there from the council, so the bigger the turn-out, the better. Although Kevin’s Hurling Club is the prime mover in organising the meeting, it’s about sports facilities generally and not just GAA, so it would be great if as many of you attended the meeting as possible.

On a completely different topic, Ian Keatley, the director of the Christchurch Cathedral Girls’ Choir, has asked me to enquire if any of the older girls in the school (10 years and upwards) would be interested in joining the Cathedral Girls Choir. I attach a flyer of information. If any parents and girls are interested, I can arrange for Mr Keatley to come and do an informal friendly audition in our school.

Kind regards,

And thanks for your responses to the swimming survey so far!

April Cronin.
