Liberties Recycling Project 26-11-2015

Dear Parents

The Liberties Recycling Project will be collecting used, clean clothes, sheets, towels, pairs of shoes etc from the school on Tuesday 1st December.

The school receives a donation for every kilo collected. Each year collections of unwanted clothes earn the school around €600, at the same time helping a worthy local charity.

Liberties Recycling sells the collected goods in its shops, and even the clothes that have had their day are recycledThey cannot take old duvets or pillows, socks or underwear.

For more information on the charity, here’s their website http://www.libertiesrecycling.com/

The green Liberties Recycling bags will be going out in schoolbags this week. The best time for you to bring in your filled bags for recycling is Tuesday morning, although you can bring them in Monday afternoon if this is not possible. The charity will take items in other bags too, so please bring as much as you can on Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning.

Most of our After School Activities will finish up for the term on Friday 11th December. There are quite a few gaps on the parent supervision sheets for many of the activities, we need parents (or minders, relatives etc) to sign up and do their bit for the activities to go ahead. Quite a few parents have yet to take their turn, so if you are one of them please ensure you sign up now.

Please note Swimming will finish up a week earlier, so next week 3rd December will be the last swimming class of the term.

I believe Hurling will continue an extra week, the final session being Tuesday 15th December.

Best wishes,

St Catherine’s N.S. Parents’ Association
