Composting – 09/03/16

Today the children have been very busy investigating and sorting out our compost bins. While we were amazed that our food scraps had turned into compost over time, we were shocked to see items that didn’t belong in the bins, such as tin foil, cartons and straws! The experience was a great reminder for us all to be more mindful separating our waste. Thank you to Jane’s dad for all the help today sorting out our compost bins!

We couldn’t believe how many busy worms we found!

Remember what can be composted -fruit and vegetable skins and peelings, coffee grounds and tea bags, pencil parings, leaves, twigs and grass cuttings and non – recyclable paper.
