There are only 5 more sleeps to go before our Biggest Fundraiser of the Year.
The Christmas Fair is a great day for everyone involved in St Catherine’s to get to know each other, help the school and have fun.
You have all been invited to sign up to Sign Up Genius and decide when and how you can help out. Maybe you can’t make it on the day but could sign up to help set up on Friday or Saturday. Maybe you aren’t available for the whole weekend, but you could help out in the mornings and bring the donations over to the church for sorting. We still need people to help out at the shooting gallery – Nerf shooting that is! This was very popular last year. Maybe you could ask an older child/past pupil/ babysitter to help out here. Hopefully everyone will bake or buy for the various cafés and cake stall.
This year we have had a group of crafters who have been busy crafting since September. They have been extremely creative and busy and I attach photos of just some of their handmade decorations, felt craft, teddies, cards, candy cane mice, pillows/cushions, children’s aprons and wreaths. These all range in price from 50c to €5. Beautifully crocheted teddy blankets and bags ranging from €6 to €12. Wreaths ranging from €25 to €30. Cards from €2.50. Handmade felt crafted decorations from €3. Make sure you are all prepared to be wowed by the crafts.
Teachers and children in school have also been extremely busy making decorations and crafts….try and find the ones your own child made!
Our raffle hampers are looking a little better now with original paintings, chocolates, a handmade hat and gloves from Nikki Collier, €50 Lidl vouchers, Teelings vouchers, day trips, smellies, booze and decorations.
Thank you to all who have given of their time and efforts already. If you haven’t already signed up maybe you can do that before Friday. Many hands make light work and let’s all try and make it the best Christmas Fair EVER!!!!!
