Today the children have been very busy investigating and sorting out our compost bins. The Green-Schools committee enjoyed a great morning out at the RDS for this year’s Green-Schools Expo on 25th Feb. The Liberties Recycling Project will be collecting old, clean clothes, sheets, towels, pairs of shoes etc from the school on Tuesday 15th March (next week), so now is an excellent time for a big clear out.
The school receives a donation for every kilo collected. These collections of unwanted clothes etc. earn the school around €600 a year, while at the same time helping a worthy local charity.
All afterschool activities are finishing up this week.
They will of course start up again a few weeks after the Easter Hols.
We are very keen to get gymnastics back on the schedule, but securing the services of a gymnastics coach is proving difficult; if anyone out there knows of a good children’s gymnastics coach who might have a spare hour on Wednesday afternoons please give us a shout!
