07-03-2016 Parents’ Association – Clothes Recycling Tuesday 15th March

Dear Parents,

The Liberties Recycling Project will be collecting old, clean clothes, sheets, towels, pairs of shoes etc from the school on Tuesday 15th March (next week), so now is an excellent time for a big clear out.

The school receives a donation for every kilo collected. These collections of unwanted clothes etc. earn the school around €600 a year, while at the same time helping a worthy local charity.

Liberties Recycling sells the collected goods in its shops, and even the clothes that have had their day are recycled into cleaning cloths that it sells to local businesses. They cannot take old duvets or pillows, socks or underwear.

For more information on the charity, here’s their website http://www.libertiesrecycling.com/

The Liberties Recycling bags will be available from the school this week. The charity will take items in other bags too, so please bring as much as you can on Monday afternoon / Tuesday morning.

Please do not try to bring any before 2.20pm on Monday afternoon or it will be a health and safety hazard.

Please Note: we organise a clothes collection once each term (usually this is around Half Term, ahem..), so please bear this in mind when having future clear-outs.

Thanks a million.

Best wishes,

St Catherine’s N.S. Parents’ Association
