Proclamation Day

On 15th March every school in the country celebrated Proclamation Day.  Here, in St.Catherine’s we asked everyone to make an attempt to dress as children would have 100 years ago.  The result was spectacular.  Well done everyone.  Have a look at some of us in our costumes.

After this we sang Ireland’s Call and one student accompanied our pianist on the recorder whilst a Senior Infant pupil sang the first verse and chorus. Well done boys.

4th Class performed their play ‘ A Triumph of all sorts’, which explained the rising to us all in a child friendly manner.  It was brilliant…well done 4th class.

Of course after all of this activity inside, we all went outside to raise the flag.  It was a very proud moment.
