19-05-2016 PA – Quiz- The wise woman was right, not tight! Plus – Trivia Fact No.4

Dear Parents,

In our excitement, we issued our previous email with some typos. We would like to clarify that the wise woman was not tight. Quite the contrary, she was generous to a fault. Your P.A. holds itself to very high standards and we’re keen to regain your esteem. We assure you that there will be no errors on the question sheet tomorrow night!

In an effort to work our way back into your good graces, here’s another useful bit of Dublin Trivia.

Did you Know???

Fact No. 4: Handel’s Messiah was first performed in Fishamble Street in 1742

During the summer of 1741, The 3rd Duke of Devonshire invited Handel to Dublin to give concerts for the benefit of local hospitals. Handel’s Messiah was first performed at the New Music Hall in Fishamble Street on April 13, 1742, with 26 boys and five men from the combined choirs of St. Patrick’s and Christ Church cathedrals participating. Nice!

The Wise Woman has been assuaged … and you’ve learned something (Well … you clever people probably knew that fact already)

So be like the wise woman…

Don’t be tight…
